§ Lord James Douglas-Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether the Building Research Establishment has reported to the Scottish Office its findings after examining the Blackburn-Orlit houses in west Edinburgh.
§ Mr. AncramThe report by the Building Research Establishment on the Blackburn/Orlit house type is nearly complete. Copies should be publicly available within the next few weeks. As soon as the assessment is available, I shall make a decision on whether the house type is to be designated for inclusion in the scheme of assistance under the Housing Defects Bill.
