Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Employment, for each region of Great Britain, what are the estimates produced by the careers service for the Manpower Services Commission of the number and proportion of (a) 16-year-olds ad (b) 17-year-olds who will (i) stay on in school or further education and (ii) leave school and join labour market and of those (1) get work and (2) remain unemployed, for 1982–83 figures; and what were the figures for earlier years.

§ Mr. Sheermanasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many school leavers were expected to find jobs when plans for the youth training scheme for 1983–84 were drawn up; how many school leavers actually did find jobs; how many of the jobs that school leavers were expected to find were expected to be outside the youth training scheme; and how many such jobs were actually outside the youth training scheme.
