HC Deb 09 July 1984 vol 63 cc399-400W
Mr. Knox

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many industrial accidents were recorded in the area covered by the Staffordshire, Moorlands constituency in each year since 1978.

Mr. Peter Morrison

The youth task group estimated that about 200,000 16-year-olds would go into employment in 1983–84, and that a little over half of these would be outside the youth training scheme. Latest estimates indicate that the forecast of overall numbers entering employment was broadly correct. About 150,000 of these were outside the youth training scheme.
