§ Mr. David MitchellThe Crewe scheme, involving major track relaying, resignalling and platform reconstruction, was decided upon by British Rail itself. I understand that BR has adopted the approach which will cause least overall disruption to services and that it is taking steps to ensure that customers suffer as little inconvenience as possible while the station is closed.
