asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many military personnel are on attached duties with foreign military forces; and what countries are involved.

At 31 March this year, 717 British armed forces personnel were on loan to 30 countries or territories overseas, which were listed in my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Crawley (Mr. Soames) on 20 March at column 447. Bahrain should now be added to that list.
