HC Deb 02 July 1984 vol 63 c57W
Dr. Roger Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will consider adding the clinical condition of farmer's lung to the list of occupational respiratory diseases and disabilities for which a patient affected and confirmed to be suffering from this complaint can get industrial disease benefits.

Mr. Newton

Benefits under the industrial injuries scheme have been payable for farmer's lung since 1965. In the current schedule of prescribed industrial diseases it appears as No. B6 "Extrinsic allergic alveolitis (including farmer's lung)".
