§ Mr. Leighasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what arrangements are being made for the issue of the proposed joint departmental circular to local authorities and others on crime prevention.
§ Mr. BrittanThe circular was issued jointly by the Home Office, the Departments of the Environment, Health and Social Security, and Education and Science, and by the Welsh Office, today. A copy has been placed in the Library of the House together with a copy of the report of the interdepartmental group of senior officials who were appointed to carry forward work initiatied by my predecessor and his ministerial colleagues on stimulating and harnessing the different policies and services that might help in the reduction of crime.
