HC Deb 30 January 1984 vol 53 c6W
Mr. Fatchett

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many police officers attended National Health Service management training courses during 1983; what topics were discussed on the courses; and from which police forces the police officers came.

Mr. Hurd

The attendance of police officers on training courses is a matter for their chief officers. The information sought is not kept centrally.

Mr. Fatchett

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department for what purposes two members of the Metropolitan police force attended a National Health Service management course, held at the National Health Service training and studies centre, Harrogate, on 25, 26 and 27 November 1983.

Mr. Hurd

The attendance of particular Metropolitan police officers on a training course is a matter for the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis. I understand that two officers attended the management course at the NHS training and studies centre, Harrogate, as students.
