asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the average cost to date in 1982–83 of keeping an inmate for a week in (a) a detention centre, (b) an open youth custody centre, (c) a closed youth custody centre, (d) a local prison, (e) a local prison holding remand prisoners, (f) a category A/B training prison, (g) a category B training prison, (h) a category C training prison, (i) an open prison, (j) a junior remand centre, (k) a senior remand centre and (l) a female establishment.
