HC Deb 27 February 1984 vol 55 c64W
Mr. Ernie Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what number and percentage of those unemployed in Dundee have exhausted their right to unemployment benefit.

Dr. Boyson

At November 1983, there were 6,100 unemployed claimants in the area covered by the Dundee unemployment benefit offices, including the associated office in Forfar, who had exhausted their entitlement to unemployment benefit. This was 36.2 per cent. of the total number of unemployed claimants in that area.
