Whether there is reason to doubt the continuing commitment of either party to the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty between the Soviet Union and the United States.
§ The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Young)The United States has made clear its continuing commitment to abide by the treaty. We believe that it is doing so. The Soviet Union also states that it remains committed to the treaty, but has recently laid itself open to doubts as to whether the spirit of certain elements of the agreement is being properly observed.
