HC Deb 23 February 1984 vol 54 c632W
Mr. Carter-Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many successful cases have been brought against the National Health Service, hospital boards or general practitioners for the adverse effects of Depro-Provera; if he will estimate the total cost to public funds in terms of damage and court costs; if the manufacturing company made any contribution; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

None, so far as I am aware, but our Department holds records of cases only where the damages awarded by a court exceed £100,000.
