§ Mr. McGuireasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will amend the mobility allowance scheme so as to bring within the provisions of that scheme those who, whilst they are able to walk unaided, cannot be allowed out in public unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
§ Mr. Newton[pursuant to his reply, 21 February, c. 498]: This aspect of the scope of mobility allowance is the subject of a judgment given recently in the Court of Appeal. We shall be considering the implications of this judgment when the transcript is available.
