asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he last raised the case of the imprisonment of Anatoly Shcharansky with the Soviet authorities.

My right hon. and learned Friend raised Mr. Shcharansky's case with Mr. Gromyko when they met in Stockholm on 19 January.
