Mr. Ernie Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what was the value of imports from and exports to Cuba in each of the past five years; and if he will break the figures down by standard industrial classification.

These data are available analysed only by standard international trade classification. Information for 1983, together with the value of total trade from 1978 onwards, is as follows. For the detail of the earlier years I refer the hon. Member to the reply given to my hon. Friend, the Member for Billericay (Mr. Proctor) on 28 November 1983 at c.367–8.
