Sir RaymondGower asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many applications were made during 1978 and 1983, respectively, for repair and improvement grants for dwellings in Wales; and what is his latest information about the numbers approved in each year.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsThe collection of data relating to renovation applications did not commence until March 1982 and is not available by individual type of grant. During the first nine months of 1983, 52,027 applications were submitted.
The numbers of grants approved during 1978 and 1983 (January to September) were as follows:
