HC Deb 09 February 1984 vol 53 cc781-2W
Mr. Roy Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the cost to pubic funds of the settlement in 1983 of the legal action between the Minister with responsibility for sport and the secretary of the Central Council for Physical Recreation.

Mr. Macfarlane

As a term of the agreement by which the general secretary of the Central Council for Physical Recreation dropped his threatened legal action, the Department agreed to meet the legal costs he had incurred. These costs were £2,304.31, which included £300.56 VAT.
