§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what percentage of the gross domestic product was represented by taxation, including national insurance contributions and local authority rates in 1984; and whether he will provide a breakdown of the percentage figure between taxes on income, taxes on expenditure, national insurance, capital taxes, stamp duty and rates in 1984 and for each year from 1979 onwards.
