§ Mr. Patrick Jenkin[Pursuant to his reply, December 1984]: Where information requested by me for the purpose of exercising my powers under Part I of the rates Act 1984 was not furnished by a designated authority, I have made such assumptions about matters relevant to the calculation of their proposed rate or precept limit as I have thought appropriate, as I am empowered to do under section 8(1) of the Act. I have also taken into account relevant financial returns made by each authority to my Department, any additional information supplied to me by authorities and further informtion available to me. Authorities have been informed that they have until 15 January, 1985 to comment on the rate or precept limit proposed.
