§ 16. Mr. Cunliffeasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what assurances he has received from the Syrian Government that they will assist the international fight to combat terrorism and disband all organisations based in Syria, whose methods include those of terrorism; and what response he has had to any requests he has made to the Syrian Government for co-operation in dealing with terrorism.
§ Mr. LuceDuring my right hon. and learned Friend's visit to Damascus in January, he made clear our views about terrorist activities, as I did in December 1983. The Syrian Government have assured us of their opposition to terrorism.
