The Government's new regional industrial policy arrangements announced last week ensure that Wales will continue to be able to compete fully and effectively for mobile investment and jobs. Some 89 per cent of the working population of Wales will be within the assisted areas and parts of Wales in most need will receive the maximum available level of support.
