Technical co-operation was provided mainly for the training of Grenada nationals in the United Kingdom.
The grant of £750,000, which I announced in November 1983, will be disbursed during 1984. It has been fully committed to capital projects including spare parts for the electricity authority; materials and spare parts for the Water Commission; refurbishing of police stations; spare parts for the central garage of Public Works Department; and to technical co-operation projects providing long and short-term advisers for the police and information services and training for Grenada nationals in the United Kingdom and elsewhere in the Caribbean. Discussions are continuing on the allocation of the £1 million loan announced on 8 February. In addition, we are prepared to make further technical co-operation available.
