§ Mr. Lambieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish in the Official Report an analysis by sub-programme of the amounts which have been included in the 1983–84, 1984–85 and 1985–86 plans for programme 15 (Scotland) in Cmnd. 8789 to allow for the repayment of services hitherto rendered free of user charge by (a) the Property Services Agency, (b) Her Majesty's Stationery Office, (c)the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency and (d) other.
§ Mr. YoungerThe only services hitherto rendered free for which provisions was first made in Cmnd. 8789 are certain property services, for which the provision is as follows, and central training costs, for which the additional provision in each year is less than £0.1 million total.
Provision for allied services at one time rendered free by Her Majesty's stationery office and the central computer and telecommunications agency was initially made in earlier public expenditure White Papers. These services now form an integral part of expenditure on the various elements of the Scotland programme and provision for them is not separately identifiable in Cmnd. 8789.
