Mr. Ernie Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what assistance has been given to Crompton Parkinson Vidor Ltd. at its Dundee plant.

Under the terms of an offer made to Crompton Parkinson Ltd at Dundee in 1977 the company has been paid regional selective assistance amounting to £250,000. Investment at the plant has also qualified for regional development grants, which are the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Industry.
