§ Mr. Michael Brownasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will give a breakdown of the total expenditure on ancillary services in the National Health Service, itemised according to salaries, pension costs, national insurance and food and other materials;
(2) what proportion of the cost of the National Health Service was spent on medical and nursing services and on ancillary services, respectively, in each of 1980, 1981 and 1982; and of the expenditure on ancillary services, what proportion was spent on catering, cleaning, portering, laundry, grounds maintenance and administration, respectively.
