asked Her Majesty's Government:

  1. (i) how many disqualification orders have been made under Section 9 of the Insolvency Act 1976, and
  2. (ii) how many disqualification orders have been made under Section 93 of the Companies Act 1981.

Seven disqualification orders have been made under the provisions of Section 9 of the Insolvency Act 1976. Since 15th June 1982, the date of the implementation of Section 93 of the Companies Act 1948, 91 orders have been notified to the Secretary of State as having been made under Section 188 of the Companies Act 1948 as amended by Section 93 of the Companies Act 1981.
