HL Deb 26 July 1983 vol 443 cc1521-2WA
Baroness Jeger

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What progress has been made towards implementing United Nations resolutions on Cyprus.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Young)

The elements in United Nation resolutions on Cyprus which we support are principally those which refer to United Nations efforts through the Intercommunal Talks. Some real, if limited, progress has been made in these talks over the last 18 months. We stand ready to do anything that the United Nations Secretary General would consider might help.
