§ Mr. MayhewThe House of Commons (Redistribution of Seats) Act 1949 requires the Secretary of State as soon as may be after receiving the report of a boundary commission to lay it before Parliament together with the draft of an order in council for giving effect, whether with or without modifications, to the recommendations contained in the report. My right hon. Friend received the third periodical report of the Parliamentary Boundary Commission for Wales on 24 January. He has not yet received the report of the Parliamentary Boundary Commission for England. The report of the Parliamentary Boundary Commission for Scotland will be a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland.
