asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will summarise the relative force and armament levels of the member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and of the Warsaw Pact.

I refer my hon. Friend to the 1982 "Statement on Defence Estimates", chapter 3 of which gives an account of the conventional and nuclear balance between NATO and the Warsaw Pact.
