§ Mr. Andrew F. Bennettasked the Secretary State for Defence what his Department has done about 511W Edlesborough, NG ref. SP9717, following the Nugent committee report in 1971–73 and reviews of defence services in 1975 and recent years.
§ Mr. WigginThe Nugent committee recommended that Edlesborough should be retained unless the review of the defence communications network confirmed that the facilities located there could be transferred to Chelveston. It was subsequently concluded that a transfer to Chelveston was not practicable and Edlesborough has therefore been retained as the committee recommended.
