asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what plans he has to amend the schedule listing of wild animals attached to the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976;

(2) if he will include squirrel monkeys in the schedule to the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976.

It is hoped to issue a revised schedule to the Act early in 1984. The inclusion of squirrel monkeys in this is at present being considered in the light of the views of leading animal experts.
