Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How much of the increased cash limit of £150 million for the Housing Corporation for 1982–83, announced in November 1982, had been spent by the end of the financial year, and whether any unspent sum can be carried forward.

Lord Skelmersdale

The Housing Corporation's cash limit for England for 1982–83, following the increase of £150 million announced in November 1982, was £680 million. The corporation's provisional net expenditure in the year was £679.7 million. The balance of £0.3 million cannot be carried forward to 1983–84.
