asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the sites of special scientific interest which were referred to in the debate on the motion on the code of guidance on sites of special scientific interest as being in danger.

I will write to the hon. Member. Since the debate on the motion on the code of guidance the first nature conservation order has been made to afford protection to a part of Baddesley Common SSSI in Hampshire.
