HC Deb 24 November 1982 vol 32 c516W
42. Mr. Marks

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will propose to the United States of America and the Soviet Union that the United Kingdom and France join in the current negotiations on nuclear weapons and that French and British stocks be taken into account.

Mr. Hurd

No. In Her Majesty's Government's view, shared by all our allies, the British nuclear deterrent has no place in the current negotiations in Geneva.
