§ Mr. RaisonThe Independent Broadcasting Authority has indicated that it believes there could be a place for a national independent radio service later in the decade. My right hon. Friend has no plans for legislation at this stage, but the option for such a service is one which is being kept open in our preparation for the regional administrative radio conference, which at its final session in 1984 will plan assignments for VHF sound broadcasting.
