HC Deb 30 July 1982 vol 28 c750W
Mr. Deakins

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will seek to ensure that international arms sales and the United Nations peacekeeping machinery are topics placed on the agenda of future United Nations' conferences on disarmament.

Mr. Hurd

Both issues are already on the agenda of the United Nations. International arms sales will be considered by the Secretary-General's group of experts which is to report on conventional disarmement to the 38th General Assembly. There are regular discussions of peacekeeping in the General Assembly and the Government will seek to ensure that the issue remains on the agenda.
