§ Mr. Greville Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether it is the policy of Her Majesty's Government to allow diplomats to renew their vehicle licences if they have failed to pay their arrears for parking offences in the previous licensing period.
§ Mrs. ChalkerDiplomats do not pay vehicle excise duty but by convention re-register their cars every year. There is at present no legal connection between parking fines and vehicle licensing and registration.
