asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the outcome of the latest European Economic Community fishery discussions as they affect Scottish fishermen.

I refer the right hon. Gentleman to the statement made on 22 July by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. The important issues of quota allocations and access, which are of particular concern to Scottish fishermen, remain to be resolved.
