§ Dr. Edmund Marshallasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department on what date or dates the periods of appointment of the 35 assistant commissioners to the Parliamentary Boundary Commission for England, listed in the reply of the Minister of State to the hon. Member for Goole on 22 July 1980, expired.
§ Mr. WhitelawThe period of appointment of all 35 assistant commissioners expired on 31 December 1981. On 28 November 1981, at the request of the commission, I signed a warrant appointing 34 of the 35 to act in that capacity until 31 December 1984.
