HC Deb 24 February 1982 vol 18 c421W
18. Mr. Ernie Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the local authorities in Scotland which (a) have, and (b) have not taken out insurance against weather damage.

Mr. Rifkind

As I told the hon. Member for Glasgow, Maryhill (Mr. Craigen) on 5 February, comprehensive information is not held centrally, but it is believed that over half of the district councils in Scotland have some form of insurance against weather damage.—[Vol. 17, c.219.]
