§ Mr. RifkindA total of 6,582 council houses were sold to sitting tenants in 1981. I should add that at 31 January 1982 missives had been concluded for a further 6,709 sales. These figures do not include new town or Scottish Special Housing Association houses. If these latter categories were included the total sales in 1981 were 10,273.
