HC Deb 24 February 1982 vol 18 c430W
Mr. Freeson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether any steps are being taken by Fitt: Majesty's Government to ensure that lead is eliminated from paint, lead pipes and lead lined tins and other sources in use in the United Kingdom.

Mr. King

The further measures to reduce people's exposure to lead in the environment, including lead in paint, water and canned food, which I announced on 11 May 1981—[Vol. 4, c. 483–84]—are all in hand.
