§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many people are unemployed in the Walthamstow-Leyton area; and how many of these have been unemployed under 12 months, between 12 and 24 months and over 24 months.
§ Mr. Alison[pursuant to his reply, 3 December 1982, c. 323]: At 14 October, the number of people registered as unemployed in the Walthamstow jobcentre area, which includes Leyton, was 9,069. Of these, 5,542 had been unemployed for up to 52 weeks, 2,289 for over 52 and up to 104 weeks and 1,238 for over 104 weeks.
