HC Deb 06 December 1982 vol 33 cc374-6W
Mr. Tilley

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the projects in the Greater London area which received money from the European social fund during the last five years showing the sponsoring bodies and the amount allocated.

Mr. Alison

The bulk of allocations from the European social fund are in respect of national employment and training schemes and cannot be broken down on a regional basis. The list following shows allocations from the fund which have been made since January 1978 to schemes run by local authorities, voluntary bodies and private firms in the Greater London area. The European Commission will shortly announce one further set of decisions on 1982 allocations but these are not expected to concern schemes in the Greater London area.
