HC Deb 30 October 1981 vol 10 c486W

Mr. Alfred Morris asked the Secretary of State for Industry what consideration he has given to the "Policy for Industry" of the Association of British Chambers of Commerce; what action he is taking in relation to the detailed proposals made; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. MacGregor: I have read with interest a copy of the association's paper. It contains a lot of useful points which deserve to be widely heeded, particularly in the importance it attaches to competitiveness, cost control and increased efficiency as a basis for growth.
