HC Deb 29 October 1981 vol 10 c460W

Mr. Michael Brown asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many civil servants at the Northern Ireland Office are on secondment from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office; how many are in each administrative and executive grade; and what percentage they represent of the total number of United Kingdom civil servants at the Northern Ireland Office.

Mr. John Patten: On 1 October 1981 there were six—one grade 3, two grade 4, one grade 8, one grade 9 and one grade S1—representing just under 3 per cent. of the total number of United Kingdom civil servants in the Northern Ireland Office.
