asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will state in the Official Report the numbers unemployed in each of the Belfast travel-to-work areas.

The number of people registered as unemployed in each of the employment service office areas which constitute the Belfast travel-to-work area is as follows:

Bangor 2,765
Carrickfergus 2,566
Larne 1,958
Lisburn 3,631
Newtownards 2,512
Total 49,235
