§ Mr. Alton asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the withdrawal of supplementary benefits from Kevin Capper of Liverpool.
§ Mrs. Chalker:Decisions on claims for supplementary benefit are the responsibility of the independent adjudicating authorities, the supplementary benefit officer in the first instance. I am aware of the circumstances of Kevin Capper's case and will be writing to the hon. Member.
