§ Mr. Thorntonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will give, for each of the last 10 years, for England and Wales, the figures for local government current expenditure showing the target expenditure as set by the Government immediately before the year began and the outturn of expenditure for that year, both on a comparable price basis;
(2) if he will give, for each of the last 10 years, for England and Wales, the figures for local government capital expenditure showing the target expenditure as set out by the Government immediately before the year began and the outturn of expenditure for that year, both on a comparable price basis.
