HC Deb 17 November 1981 vol 13 c76W
Mr. Cartwright

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what support his Department has given or plans to give to the work of neighbourhood energy action.

Mr. Mellor

I refer to the answer given to my hop. Friend the Member for Falmouth and Camborne (Mr. Mudd) on 2 June 1981, in which my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Energy announced that my Department will contribute £11,500 in 1981–82 towards the costs of neighbourhood energy action. The Manpower Services Commission is contributing an equal amount. The Department is also making available £93,000 for grants to help voluntary organisations get community insulation projects under way.
